Ovechkin got hurt against Columbus? Hm. That’s interesting. I’m sure if Dorsett had been hit by Ovie in the exact same way, Ovie wouldn’t have gotten in trouble.

You’re probably right that he could have fought Dorsett and made him regret it. (Although that Brassard thing might have been a fluke.)

The only real problem I have with Nealer’s suspension is that they chose him to make a stand with. Hits by Ovie and Richards earlier in the season should have received just as much or more. If they are consistent moving forward, fine. But I’m not holding my breath on that one, that’s for sure.

Hopefully, Neal can continue to move forward and become a superstar and then he won’t have to worry. (ala Pronger, I saw your comment on Heika.)

While as a star player on the team, I don’t think Nealer should have, I kinda wish he had gone ahead and fought Dorsett to begin with. He might could have taken him out for the whole season (as in Brassard) and only gotten a roughing penalty for it. As it is, the BJ’s got exactly what they wanted. They came out gunning for Neal from the beginning, just as they did with Ovie earlier in the season. At least they didn’t hurt Neal.

I hate to burst your bubble, but two out of three of my boys shave. They can’t grow beards yet, per se, but they do shave. It’s easy to think they don’t really need to until they don’t and then you realize, man, they need to shave! Mark always says, “Ya gotta little schmutz right there.” :D

Since I have boys, I’ll let you know that there is “No Shave November” going on. I thought it was just a local thing, but turns out it’s nationwide. Don’t know the reason or purpose, but there it is.
